Got Mochi as a gift from our techie Silicon Valley relative and were a little skeptical about its attractiveness for our 2 yo. We were proven wrong: my daughter was super-excited to play with the cuddly bear and listen to a story about his adventures. She was helping me place the coding blocks into the programming board, pushing the Please Go button and tracing the turns of Mochi’s car with her finger multiple times without tiring or getting bored. The sound feedback saying what command is being executed was really helpful. After a few runs, she confidently repeated all the steps. My wife and I were very impressed. I think the toy actually delivers on its promise to introduce young kids to programming. If you seriously care about developing your child’s thinking, this may be something to look into. Meilin
I think it's great for teaching logical thinking and cause and effect, plus all subject knowledge from the different themes. Each theme includes a story book, accessory for the robot, and a map. This set is about colours where Mochi dives into the ocean to find things of different colours. Jaelyn
Lots of fun and learning! Gives you an opportunity to spend quality time with your child and actually witness how their brains develop. Highly recommend. Wang Wei
We are extremely impressed with Mochi. It is easy to set-up, easy to use, and our preschoolers were ecstatic to play with it. Mochi has been well played with here and still going strong. Coding for preschool was a wonderful experience for us. Here at Homeschool Mastery Academy, we appreciate any toy that can combine hands-on play and technology without a screen. Mochi gets an A+ from us! Courtney
Mochi is a great early educational experience that all young kids would enjoy. Overall, the quality of everything is good. Some wood connecting tips were a bit weak but didn’t effect the overall functionality. It can be a bit tricky to put
together (not complex, just getting the pieces to stay lined up. After it’s all put together (by and adult) the robot and program board are solid and work great. We struggled initially to get the Robot on and syncing, but after that things
have been smooth sailing. Make sure your batteries are all in correctly and then rotate the robot 180 degrees back and from (side to side) to activate the robot. That should do the trick. The book is simple but the illustrations are great.
I do wish the starter set came with a few more program blocks, but overall a great starting set for sure.

This product is great. I recommend it for anyone with children ages 3-6 who desire to give their children an advantage with early coding skills. My granddaughters (3 and 5) figured it out pretty fast with minimal help and they loved listening and reading the book. When they got to the song they played it until the adults couldn’t handle it anymore. We can’t wait until all twelve books have been delivered. Personally, I can’t wait to see how the function coding is incorporated in the next books. Karen
My son is six years old and my daughter is eight years old, they love stuff like coding! I heard actually about this project before. And especially in the quarantine we need the stuff like this! Kerry

During lockdown we did lot of homeschooling. Also studied coding with Mochi - screenless coding for children, wearing this cute and soft dungaree, totally adorable! Sidhe
Mochi Robotics Kit @learnwithmochi is an educational kit designed for children ages 3 to 9. Kids can learn screen-free coding and the basics of computer programming in a playful and fun way. They explore STEM subjects using themed storybooks. There are thirteen content packs for kids available to learn different subjects including ABCs, Colors, Numbers, Animals and others . The kit Teddy received has Planets and Space theme! Faniya
Mochi turned out to be a perfect toy for my daughters (ages 7 and 4). First of all, it reinforced our efforts to keep them away from screens as long as possible. Due to the possibility to endlessly vary the robo-car movements, the kids could stay engaged longer. Second, it fit very well with our extensive Lego infrastructure (multiple kits and a table), fostering creativity. And finally, I liked the multi-sided nature of the game: it contains a book with nice illustrations that can be both read and listened to, a map with the toy bear and his vehicle that can be used to create new adventures and stories, and the programming board (command center) that ties it all together. Another advantage is the self-contained format, where the programming blocks neatly fit into a pull-out tray and can be safely stored without making a mess. I think we made a useful investment and plan to buy the rest of the book/map/blocks sets and gradually increase the complexity of the game. If you are looking for a gift for 4-7 year olds, I highly recommend the Mochi set. Vaneni

This is a pretty cool concept. Both the book and the programming board are great educational tools for young ones. Also, product quality was better than expected! The kit comes with a solar system and planets book, which has super THICK solid quality pages (no more accidentally tearing pages). The little bear is adorable and we loved him. We also liked that the product was natural and all wood. It's very friendly. You can program the robot car to move around a map and "visit" different planets. We didn't fully understand how to use the function block, but if you reach out to the company, they're very responsive and will explain everything to you! Overall, great gift for children. I teach an after school enrichment program, teaching computational thinking to children ages 3-6, using screen-free robots. I have many unplugged robots and I can honestly say that Mochi is the most heart-warming and smile-inducing. A lot of heart and thought was put into the design of this educational product. Children as young as 3 can learn the importance of planning and giving step-by-step instructions (in the correct order) to Mochi, to get the rover from point A to point B. My students are elated when their algorithm is successful. When it's not, they check the coding board to see where they may have gone wrong and they "debug" their "code". My students are even learning about FUNctions and recursions with Mochi! They love the colorful maps and books and the fact that they can attach LEGOs to Mochi. It does take some tenacity to put Mochi together (with a careful reading of the instructions), but it's well worth it. Judy
This product literally blows my mind! My son can make a plan to get from one planet to another and code for Mochi to move that way. On top of that, the book teaches him about the planets. I can’t wait to get the other books/grid mats in the series. I was too excited to get it put together and had trouble pairing the rover and the control panel at first, but my husband was able to do it slower and get it! Highly recommend this! S. cunningham
